Press Release: Wind farm produces enough energy to to power 5000 homes. How do they arrive at that figure?

Since wind doesn’t blow all the time, obviously there are times when it’s supplying zero homes. So how do they get that figure that’s put out of 5000, 10000 or whatever? Potential maximum output 100% of the time?
