You submit them but there is no legal way to force them to pick it up, it would interfere with Freedom of the Press.

As far as I’m concerned most news releases come through AP (Associated Press) or any other major news source (Reuters, USA Today etc…) or the major tv networks (ABC, BBC etc…) so therefore if you want to get your piece on yahoo it’ll prolli have to go through one of those first and then getpicked up by yahoo.

Unless it is a photo or video then you can go to
    and upload your stuff there.

Contrary to what the first poster said, getting picked up in Yahoo News has nothing about Freedom of the Press. Yahoo News does not pickup every single press releases there is in the world, nor is it obligated to. It is merely a conduit.

To get into Yahoo News, you need to use a press release distribution service whose news releases are picked up by Yahoo News. And that often means paid press release distribution. Often, free press release distribution can easily be picked up by Google News (as long as the distribution service has been approved by Google News as a news provider), but those that do not charge hardly gets into Yahoo News

    Examples include

PR Newswire - one of the best and most reliable press distribution service but has a lot of fees (from membership fees to press release distribution service which ranges from $123 for a single market to $650 for nationwide market for a single press release). They can get your release to Yahoo News

PR Web - service starts at $169, no membership fee but can get your press release to Yahoo News

Canvas around and see what’s the cheapest service that you can use.
