MIT released an article in Science magazine on 7/31 that may revolutionize the energy industry in ten years. We may be able to generate hydrogen for our home and vehicle from back-yard solar panels under development. Google “MIT Photovoltaic Discovery”.
Templar, this is new news. What is different is that MIT has discovered which catalysts may make hydrogen conversion economically viable.

this is not new news. Power companies have known about this for a while and are looking into other alternative mass developments that would keep them in business.
Electrolysis is nothing new in hydrogen harvesting

It’s exciting. It shows what a difference a little investment of time and energy can make. I think we’ll be seeing many more breakthroughs on the hydrogen front.

MIT has also discovered new lower costs electrodes to use in making hydrogen. To me though I am alittle more excited about Penn state working with microbes to make hydrogen.
