How to create a best press release?

I have a new web design business and I am trying to get some attention from press, whats the best way to approach a news agency to publish an article about our low low cost services?
how much will it cost to join prweb? or any other press release companies.

    I have just subscribed to this recently….I write the news releases for my company:

    Just remember, when writing these, it has to be something of benefit to the audience, so don’t write it like an ad or ad offering. Remember the who, what, when and where. Also, make it short. This increases your chances of getting that empty spot they had to fill.

    Another thing you can do to get an article written is call the business editor. Let them know you have a new business that is innovative and low cost in relation to others. I wouldn’t say they will jump all over it, but it is definitely worth a shot!
