qpuncturist asked:

I am trying to figure out whether I should have a press releases section on my website for the new self-help DVD I will be releasing.

Should put a press releases section on it?

Why or why not?

Thanks!

You should add press release section as it will add to your credibility as well as help in your job of educating and informing people.

Definitely. Make sure they are in chronological order from newest to oldest.
    1) It helps outside sources who are researching your company get quick information and helps legitimize your business.
    2) It allows potential customers to check company news, new product releases etc. in a logical location on your website.
    3) It is another spot that can create a “hit” in a search engine, which can draw traffic to your site.

You definitely should. It not only adds credibility, but it increases the number of keywords on your site, which is useful for the search engines. I might also recommend finding a place to post your release elsewhere on the web. There are a number of sites out there that allow you to post your release for free. I’ve linked to one of them below. The benefit there is at least one link back to your site.

    Good luck with your DVD!
