Would someone not send you a press release because you are a new writer?
Mom of 3 asked:
I am trying to write an article and need some information. I called the guy who helps coordinate the event and he said he was sending a press release “right over”. I waited 30 minutes, no email and I called him back. He sounded annoyed and STILL hasn’t sent it. I was very polite and respectful while speaking to him. Is this just because I am a new freelance writer?
This is something I am writing for Associated Content to build a resume up.
Guess I was just being impatient….I just got it =)

No, it’s because the guy is an idiot. Typical too, too busy and full of himself with the event he’s planning to be bothered.
For the future, always set a specific time, don’t wait for them to come to you. “I’m writing an article, would Tuesday at 2pm be a good time for you?” Something along those lines.
Good luck
