I would like any information I can get since I have never done this.
This story would benefit the economy and all local businesses as well as their clients across the nation so I need info on how to get it publicized for free.

   Call your local news station. They are always looking for a good story. Good Luck with your project if you want to call it that.

   go on google and search your topic

   Your best bet is to call the news media personally and ask for the assignments editor, then follow up the phone call by e-mailing your news release to them. Make sure your news release is prepared using the Associated Press Style of writing, or it will not be taken seriously.
